ASSISTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS

BY COMPLETING THIS BOOKING FORM, YOU ARE CONFIRMING THE ENGAGEMENT 

AND AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING T&C’S

WARRANTIES

  1. The Assistant warrants that he or she is fully able to enter into and perform his or her obligations pursuant to this Agreement and that the Services shall be performed in a professional manner, exercising all due care, diligence and skill. 

  2. Cancellation by the assistant is not acceptable without unavoidable reason, e.g. illness, and the substitution of another assistant must not be made without the photographer/client’s prior knowledge and consent. The photographer/client has the right to approve any replacement before commencement of the shoot.

FEES AND PAYMENTS

FEES

  1. These are charged at a daily rate, stated below. A normal day is any 9-hour period worked between 7am and 9pm. Overtime may be charged for weekends, public holidays and in addition to the standard 9 hours, at a rate previously agreed with the photographer/client.

 

PAYMENTS

  1. Payment should be made within 10 working days from the invoice issue date.

  2. All expenses incurred on behalf of the photographer or client should be agreed in advance and will be added to the final invoice. Fees and mileage for the use of an assistant’s car should be agreed at the time of confirmation.

 

LOCATION WORK

  1. The photographer/client is responsible for the cost of accommodation and meals whilst on location, but personal expenses (e.g. telephone calls) are the responsibility of the assistant. Medical and travel insurance should be discussed with the photographer/client before the shoot begins.

  2. Weather-permitting bookings should be agreed with Studio By Sea at the time of confirmation, but postponement due to bad weather will result in the assistant, as a photographer’s expense, being paid 50% of the fee.
